Hi All, Ty for the add to the group. I have been riding since the early 90s and I recently acquired a mint condition 06 Bonnie with 211 miles on it. The gear shifter side carb does leak some fuel due to it sitting for a long time. Bike starts and runs fine but idles rough due to sitting around.. Left carb leaks a bit of fuel when riding (due to gummed up carbs and stuck float most likely). It will get a complete fluid overhaul, carb cleanup and other bits n pieces to make it into the rumbling tumbling ride it should be.. I am looking forward to sharing info, tips n tricks, parts, upgrades, mods etc. Apart from this, I ride a 99 ZRX 1100 (with pods, timing advancer, ZX 11 cams and a list of other mods. Eddie Lawson Shrek Green) and a 95 K1100 RS (flying brick which I intend to convert into a scrambler) Ty AK Dallas
Netty Neuron Welcome to the family. Great intro and lovely collection of steeds you have there. Thanks for sharing with the inmates here in the asylum. Yes you should fit right in here. Joe.
Thank you all for such a warm welcome.. haha.."inmates in the asylum" cracked me up.. Just finished taking the carbs apart n cleaning years of sedentary gunk build up in them.. Yet to start the bike up.. I am new to Bonnies so the hoses by the gear shift lever and the t-joins/connections r new to me.. Any pointers are highly appreciated.. Ty
Netty Neuron You aint seen nothing yet. These nutters here in the asylum are like vultures just waiting for you to err. Then they rip you to pieces. No really this is the best forum around and helpful patrons. They will laugh with you cry with you and see and help or just take the piss but its all good fun. You just wait till they get you into the asylum only good thing is the nurse. Not sure on the hoses drop a picture if you can. Joe.
