The time has come to part with my little street triple 2008. 16000 miles from new Full history and folders. 4 owners from new including me and my missus. Mot Heated grips Seat cowl Belly pan Front screen. Adjustable levers I've owned the bike since 2014 and it needs nothing only to be used. It was mine and I couldn't part with it so my missus took it on but unfortunately she doesn't use it, she thinks it's too fast for her. It done 50 miles last year. So if anybody is on the look out for a mint early street drop me a message. Regards Rspete
I thought you were thinning the garage out Adie! I was tempted to ask as I love a Streety, but then I saw it was in Durham!
I don't know yet buddy the prices on these are going up, it will be over 3k but I'm not sure of a final price just yet...... Cos im finding it hard to part with him
Ermmmmm ..... asking for a friend? No, seriously, one of my (2) brothers just bought a Daytona 675 and the other seems rather taken with it - neither has ever shown any real interest in Hinckley 'bikes ..... in fact they're usually a little derogatory about my collection of 'clunkers'. The Daytona seems to have been something of a revelation - 'surprise, surprise' has two meanings in this context! Anyway, I have a slightly 'ultterior motive' in attempting to get younger brother onto a Street - puts me next in line for the 'Tona if it ever comes up for sale! Thinning out the garage is a rational aspiration. Not sure I've ever been rational.
Never ridden the 675 Daytona but quite fancy racing one as that motor is an absolute peach! Must admit that I have toyed with moving the Sprint ST on and buying another Street as I enjoy riding them far more, but not just yet.
OK, sounds sensible to me - I have very little idea how to part wiith a bike, especially one as nice as that! Let me know, please, meantime I might just gauge the potential level of interest ......... and my bank balance! (Just kidding, Bill. I don't have the space or the money right now.)
I've never ridden a 675 Daytona, either, but would dearly love to. I'm sure I would NOT be able to resist temptation once tried. The brother that's bought a Daytona has bought a low mileage, black and gold one. The other brother that has now found an itch for one is bigger than you (no offence, squire) and I really do think he'd struggle to do more than 50 miles on it at a stretch! Understand what you say about the Sprint - it's a great bike but it just doesn't have that amazing "easy accessibility" of the Street. I wouldn't, however, fancy a long distance tour on the ST, which, I would think, is where the Sprint would excel. And, before a dozen ST owners pop up and say "Oh, I did a 1200 mile 3 day tour of the near continent on my Street Triple last week and it was just fine" I will add that I KNOW that it can be done - I just wouldn't like to do it on mine .... especially with the current seat!
Nothing wrong with Durham mate, just the distance it is from Southampton if I was thinking of buying a bike for instance!
no not yet Dd buddy, it's a tough one for me cos it's like me little pal Your dd powers won't work on me 2k pfffft
