I have to agree @Adie P for me there is no comparison between Bon Scott era ACDC and Brian Johnson era and it's not just that Brian Johnson lacks somewhat in vocal versatility by comparison. When you heard Bon Scott sing you knew that you were listening to a man who was really living the life he was portraying (Lemmy was the same), it wasn't a stage act it was Bon being Bon and that was all there was to it. It was like your sleazy boozy, druggy wild rockin' biker uncle telling you stories from his wild life of sex, drugs and rock'n'roll. I think that Bon was ever destined to grow old he was a wild child born to live fast and die young and leave a legend behind. I have to say as well that, it may seem strange, but I think the lyrics and writing were much more 'mature' when Bon was in the band, after his death the lyrics became a bit schoolboy fantasy rock'n'roll. Give me Whole Lot of Rosie, I'm a Rocker, High Voltage, Let there be Rock and every other Bon era track any day. Not saying I don't like the modern AC/DC but I find Brian's voice a bit like Udo Dirkschneider's and lacking a bit in colour.
I can't see t'video's on mi work pc, and mi phone's gone tits up, and is being repaired, but I saw Airbourne at Sheffield Uni about 6/7 years ago. They were only on stage for an hour, but what an hour!!!
Rose Tattoo are ace, and bin ont go for donkeys years. Saw a video o Angry Anderson, in a dinner suit, singin a soppy ballad,(or tryin to!). he looked reyt outta place.
