Brilliant news its back on, still not going though as I cancelled my B&B, hell of a job to get it in advance, let alone near to the event! Good luck to every-one who goes, I hope you get good weather! Have some Leigh cockles for me too!
Yeah...I did Everyone was so well behaved, it was a nice peaceful family day out .& your back in the room. Actually I won't bother again. There was some disgraceful behaviour, but not from any triumph guy's. Mainly low cc scrambler type bikes, modern mopeds & quad bikes. Police were very low profile, in fact so low I didn't see any of them intervene in any of the wrong doings that were clearly going on in full view of everybody. One youngster on a moped was going along the front with his feet up over the front bodywork & nothing for the 2hours I was there annoyed the police enough to intervene. It was busy so at least the shops & stall holder's had a result, but as for a fun day...it wasn't, not for me anyhow...rant over.
I've been on this run a few times from the ace cafe, and to be honest it's like who dares wins on the north circular, your right about the peds tho, really annoying. Didn't bother this year.
The worrying thing is crispey, is that most are bikers of the future.....if they live that long of course
I use the north circular a lot both day & night.....its the worst road for idiot motorists that I know. Hopefully the average speed cameras will slow a few down & not before time in my opinion.
There were also a lot of motorcycles with throttle defects too..Every now & then for no reason they would suddenly go to full throttle without the bike moving any faster! Wtf is that all about? Lol I guess at 56 I'm getting too old for this sh*t.
There was a Police car crash involving 2 civi cars and Mr Plod earlier, that may have taken there presents down a bit. Well worth the £4000 they charged A CHARITY to police the event then!
Some scrote driving a stolen car, still lost it and crashed into the innocent cars while looking for it, not even chasing! I used to have the utmost respect for the Police, especially Essex, infact I had friends who were in it but now I consider too many are no more than yobs in uniform!
Like you ho, I too have respect for the law, but people today just don't fear them. As a spotty kid my stomach used to tighten if one approached me even tho I hadn't done anything wrong....that's how much we were brought up to respect the law.
Some youths of today only live for the day, fearless and no thought for others but I have meet some that surprise me in there excellent manners.
