I took my 17 T-Bird LT on a 1000 mile ride and when I got home, I realized the belt was worn away against the outside of the rear sprocket.

I recently had a new rear tire installed but when I questioned the mechanic he told me they do not touch the alignment and it should have held as the jam nuts were tight. I did hit some huge pot holes (Michigan) on the long ride...

I took it back and they realigned it to the middle of the sprocket but after I rode the 15 miles home it it back against the outside edge of the rear sprocket. Does not appear to be rubbing but there is no light between the belt and the sprocket. I assume this will need to be adjusted a few times to hit the sweet spot?

    Any insight? Thanks!
