Possibly not - I get the impression that the dealership is doing it as a goodwill gesture, rather than Triumph doing it under the terms of the warranty.

I get really annoyed where manufacturers try and wriggle out of their warranty obligations, but I'm similarly unimpressed when owner or dealer cock-ups get pushed through to the manufacturer as warranty claims.

OK, I bought the bike from the dealer so they have the primary obligation, but there's no way the dealer should pick up the cost of this.

Agree, it is well documented on both Triumph forums and my dealer said it is a known and unexplained thing that is happening on the front inner tube. They think it maybe a slightly thinner tube supplied from new that is the cause. They replaced mine with a thicker Michelin inner tube. Triumph paid for it.

As I’ve already said both my Street Scramblers needed new front inner tubes and irritating that bikes are still being churned out with the problem. I was told by someone in the know that nearly all the ‘modern classics’ had front tube problems... often being wheeled for their pre delivery service with a virtually flat front tyre. However it remains a silly prob that Triumph should have sorted to save customers getting irritated and causing what essentially is a rather important safety issue...

Just for the record, I am having the same issue with my new this June 2019 Street Scrambler, and yes, just the front loses pressure. Thought something didn't feel right in the handling after a few weeks of ownership. Checked tire pressure and front was down to 16 psi. Now monitoring it every few days so I can give a report to dealer next time I have to bring it in. Have not received the recall yet on the wiring harness issue. Hopefully have both things fixed at the same time as dealer is 2 1/2 hours away.
