    Morning folks,

cant find anything after searching forums, possibly not using the search function properly as been years since been on a forum!

so, my bike comes Tuesday morn and just trying to get everything together for it so can get out! Living in Scotland though, the weather tends to turn in a heart beat and al admit, Iam a fair weather rider!

So, my question is this, do I go for the rear hugger or shock tube? I know the hugger won’t kee me clean but it’s just to try new down the amount of crap getting thrown at my shock.

All opinions greatfully received. Oh, it’s a triple 675 if that makes any odds.

    cheers!

If its of any use i have a hugger on mine, it keeps the rear shock relatively clean but not immaculate. Personally i was suspicious of shock tube holding water in on the shock without being seen,
If you are thinking of a tail tidy think carefully, i have one on mine and i get crud thrown up all over the rear seat and my back and back of my helmet if the roads are wet. So much so that i'm seriously thinking about getting one of those fugly splash guards that sit out back of the wheel.

i had a shock tube on the rs and as stinger says, i actually preferred the open shock in the end as when it was wet (rain or washing etc), it (shock tube) seemed to be wet for ages and kept water around.
This might fit? I know it's not exactly the same bike but might share the same hugger?
It's an extension that goes on the original hugger. Can't be worse?

I had a shock tube on my R9T for the 3 years I had it and to be honest I’d have preferred a hugger if I could have found one I liked.
I also found that the tube would trap grit much more than I would have expected, and I had to remove it and thoroughly clean around the shock on a regular basis.
