“Mums the word” right? Keep this to yourselves, the Kinlochleven loop is UK , nae European biking nirvana. Had a 225mile up and back thrash today. 1st trip norf on the Speed Twin.

If you are heading for Fort William.... DO NOT TAKE THE BRIDGE. TAKE THE LOOP. It’s endorphin OD for free.

It was even better when the old road you are parked on was ‘it’. As a kid circa 1965 I remember Dad slowing to watch a caravan recovery as it hung over the edge with the tow bar partially pulled out of the car in danger of following it over.....
There was no bridge and the queue to the old, slow ferry was about 10 cars. We would not have got on!

Thanks! Will be doing a Scotland tour in a couple of weeks with one night in Glencoe, and will certainly be doing the loch :grinning: May have to do it twice, and leave Mrs Mouse in the hotel for the second time if I want to get the full benefit of the loop ;)

Wow, looks absolutely perfect. Post more pics if you’ve got ‘em. I never get tired of looking at the Speed Twin, Triumph nailed it from every angle, and it’s even better in that setting.
BTW, what’s the other bike? I can’t quite make it out.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm staying in Newtonmore for a week 12th September. I've planned a loop to include Fort William and The Green Welly. The Kinlochleven loop will add a nice C16 miles to a pleasant day out.

Thats the one. It’s an absolute missile (the half dozen times I have seen him open it up) but it needs to be worked down these types of roads. His head has been turned by the Trumpet and what it gives though. Fun, entertaining, accepting it’s limitations, looks and not looking at an insta-ban every time you spank it.

I was there a couple of days ago - though on four, rather than two, wheels!

The road is a beauty and not badly surfaced but the view of the Loch can be a huge distraction, especially when it's sunny! Beware, too, of some of the blind dips and bends - and the ubiquitous 'whitevanman' straddling a large portion of your lane!!

Hope you didn't get any of the "POLICE UNMARKED MOTORCYCLES" operating last weekend. From the WHW the sound of 4 pipe harmonies on the A82 seemed endless!
