Just went to check over my new S Scrambler and try that ACF50 stuff on the spokes etc, and decided to check the tyre pressures. After just 10 days and 225 miles, the front tyre has dropped 0.67 bar, whilst the rear just 0.05 - the rear is about what I would expect, given that it was very warm when I collected the bike and it's now about 10° cooler. so 1.43 bar instead of 2.1 at the front. Of course, I'll keep it under close observation in the coming 10 days up to 1st service, but isn't that a bit much? These are tubed tyres btw.
With a brand new bike and having ridden it three times I wasn't that worried. Just to add - my last bike, which was 14 years old, had 50,000 miles on the clock and was regularly ridden like a maniac, only ever needed pressures adjusting seasonally or with rare sudden large changes in ambient temps.
Off the top of me 'ead that's about 9psi (I'm old school!). I would suggest that summat is wrong. Or at least not quite right.
I would nip up the valve. It may be leaking past the seat rather than through the valve itself or any part of the tube.
Until recently I’ve had a Ditchpump with tubed, spoked wheels and it would only lose a couple of pounds of pressure over a few weeks of not riding, so I would agree with @littleade During times of regular riding and checking the pressures weekly, I only needed to top up the pressure once every few weeks and it wasn’t by much. Get the dealer to check it out. As he says there have been reports of failing tubes.
