    Hi Peeps,

    I'm planning a rideout with some other forum members who I've recently done Derbyshire Dales/Peak District with. This time we want to do the Yorkshire Dales, weather permitting of course! Looking to cover some nice routes to include the famous Buttertubs Pass and Ribblehead Viaduct. The date is Wed 26th Aug and current attendees are:

    • Schuey
    • Smilinjack
    • Wessa
    • Tigcraft
    • Andypandy
    So we're opening this up to any of you who may be interested to join us on the day, we could arrange to meet at a certain point and journey in together etc..

    If you're interested, please copy and paste above list and then add your name to it at the bottom. The more the merrier :cool: It's going to be a long day so we haven't quite worked out timings yet, but we will do as we get closer to the date.

    Mrs Owl and myself looking to tour the Yorkshire Dales in October so will be great to get some recommends from your ride. Bit far to come for one day unfortunately. Have a great day

    Would really like to come along but a day off means not being paid so I'll probably have to skip this one. Unless I talk myself in to it over the next week. :D

    Have fun, Schuey and friends! If I lived a "little" bit closer without an ocean in between I'd do my best to join you all. Hope you'll share some photos and stories about your day out. :)

    Enjoy guys, my old hunting grounds pre 1988 when I emigrated to Aus.
    I was back there around 2010 and could not believe how busy it was.
    Still beautiful though and at least I was on two wheels again.
    Plus I understand you have some nice weather!,
    To me Denmark in WA is a little like the Dales which is why I love here, we have also just got in from a quick blast .
    Love the triples !!

    Love to go, but it would be a 2 day trip at best for me just to get there - have fun, anyway, bet it'll be a blast.

    @Schuey Jas, just a quick question, what was your duration plan as your the furthest away and it’s sore arse tackle for you in a day? Eric

    Hi Eric,

    I'm happy to go with a recommendation. It will take me approx 4 hours to get home but I'll make sure I take plenty of coffee breaks on the way home. Guess if I can get home for around 10pm then that would be fine by me :)

    I recently did a long ride on a Sportsbike and did ok so the Bonnie should be much more comfortable :grinning:

    Well it depends on where you want to meet the rest? Is it sustainable you to meet Wessa first up the west side of the ride or filter through high peak or cross country to M1/A1 and find a point in a loop?

    Reckon I will be coming after all. I'm close to Holmfirth, same as Eric, if you're looking at maps.

    The Street Triple went in to the workshop today and likely not to be available so probably two-up on the Multispanner again for this one.

    As long as you're not thrown off the Speed Triple, that's what counts. :D The Ducati is much better for two-up, anyway.

    Wouldn’t mind pateley bridge, nr ripon but my ideas can run away quite quickly with places to visit
