Hey there. I just bought a 2016 r type speedy, and drove it 600 miles home from the dealership, burning all the tread off the tires in the process. The bike has just over 6000 miles on it, so while I had the wheels off, I was planning on regreasing the hub and suspension linkage bearings. While inspecting the rear suspension linkage, I noticed that the drop link was aftermarket, it's lowered, should have caught it at the dealership. it wouldn't be that big of a deal, I eventually will make it stock height again, but while closely inspecting the front forks I noticed they had also been raised in the triple clamps. I cannot for the life of me find where their original position is supposed to be. Will the bike be more squirrelly on spirited rides? After all, that's what I bought the thing for. any help would be greatly appreciated.
There is a line on the fork, get it 5mm below the bottom of the top clamp. Here is a video on doing it, please sub to my channel for lots of Speed Triple videos
Thank you so much. Will I need to remove the wheel from the bike in order to do this, or can I simply Jack up the bike, loosen the pinch bolts, move the forks down, and retorque the bolts?
