I know you have mentioned this before, didn't realize quite how bad it had got for you mate, sorry to hear this I hope you get it sorted quickly. Shoulders are a bugger, my right one still hurts from a crash at Donington last May, but nothing like the pain you're in by the sound of it.
If you listen very carefully - you can hear Cerbarus chuckling to himself. Only kidding mate - get yourself sorted
Make sure the doc knows that YOU know that leaving shoulder problems can make things worse. If it is a bone spur - pretty common - it is painful raising your arm laterally above your head, and causes problems sleeping...and, if left, the spur can fray the tendon. Good luck with the doc Beerman
Good luck marra I hope you get something sorted, I really do. On another note you've always had a right shoulder problem for years I remember way back, at that time I suggested you kept your cash in your left hand pocket just to make it easier on your trip to the bar
Hope you get it sorted soon. Nothing quite like shoulder pain and if you can't sleep it's worse. You don't realise how much you use your shoulders. Good luck in getting it sorted
I've had shoulder problems for years (both AC joints stretched) and occasional frozen shoulder and, for a while now I have had brachial nerve problems leading to constant tingling in my right hand. I have been to the doctors, hospital and physio many times and never found any useful help from them. Recently I decided, screw it, I'm gonna start lifting weights and it will either 'pop' the problem to the extent they will have to do something about it or it will actually make things better. Haven't lifted any serious weight since I did my back in in my early twenties when I lifted and carried a GSX750 engine with poor technique. Yes my shoulders still give me some pain but it is less than it was and I have proved to myself that, so far, I can do 70kg overheard press, 100kg bench and 165kg deadlift. Not 'Strongman' territory but way more than I expected. To be perfectly honest, being full time carer for my wife who is now disabled (directly due to a medical implant) and who has, despite years of medical treatment, never actually really been helped or had her pain eased at all I have a very jaded view of the ability of medicine to do more that stitch us up and cut things off.
Just to let you know, there are people here in Iowa specifically praying for your recovery and health.
Best of luck sorting it Dilly. A&E sounds like good advise, I had acupuncture to help ease the pain during rehabilitation
I was actually feeling quite well before I read this thread. is becoming as long winded and as painful as the rest of his very long stories, I'm actually needing a lie down now, I'm racked with pains and I'm feeling quite down. You get well soon Dilli Now dont you worry about me, I'll sort me - sell oot
Sounds just like the trouble i had with my right shoulder about eight years ago. It needed a rotator cuff repair where they did keyhole surgery to cut off part of the collar bone and stitched up the muscle and tendon that it had cut through. Off work for three months and nearly a year till it was back to normal. Now have 90/95% strength back. Trouble is, my left shoulder is going exactly the same but getting anything done is proving nigh on impossible. Just going through the 'physio by phone' stage but you have to jump through all the hoops to get to the end goal. Whatever you do, don't watch the operation on you tube!!
Couldn't agree more . Been waiting for a consultation since march , I'm in pain and they still keep palming me off, my advice if no joy Wed, go to A&E
Prostatitis, waiting for a procedure. Called TURPs they won't do it while the virus is in the hospitals . Meanwhile I suffer in silence
I have crashed on both shoulders in the past but I don’t think it’s got anything to do with what’s going on now I’ve always done heavy manual work and reckon it’s just wear and tear coupled with I ain’t getting any younger
