hello guys, just joined the forum and would appreciate some help and advice, just bought a 1966 tiger cub, 50 years since i last had one so no longer remember much about them, my first question is, how do i check there is oil in gearbox and primary chaincase, no oil is visible from inspection holes, secondly this bike has not been run for over ten years it does start up but on occasion puts itself in gear when being kicked up with no contact with the gear change lever. many thanks stuart.

Hi and welcome. I would suggest you Don’t run the bike after such a long lay up. Give it a full service (oil and filters) and then try it again...
