Eventually fitted my Hagon 2810 shocks to my Bonnie after shearing a shock bolt last week! All done and ready to test.
Yes thanks J S - bet you miss it, a different beauty in Norfolk.......eternal skies and largely unspoilt.........apart from some of the urban areas I have not been to an area of the UK where it doesn't have it's own attractions. I'll definitely come up for a rumble on the bike in Reeth though. It's just so picturesque and clean.
Rode to Donnington to meet two car driving friends and watched a full program of bike racing, picnic lunch in the car park and racing finished about 5.30. Just the odd spot of rain today not like Saturday when the paddock was flooded apparently!
Thanks I declined in the end and took it to a Triumph dealership. I got the bike back last week after a 4 week wait. It was a struggle to find a dealership to do the work as they are still all booked up.
So today my plan was to just clean the bike, however, when I came to get it out I found the rear tyre was completely flat. Now, I had a new tyre fitted last week and the day after that went for a long ride and noticed when I got back that there was a strong hot rubber smell and the rear was very hot. Guessed at the time that the pressures weren't right but foolishly didn't plan to check things out pronto. Anyway back to today, as I had a spare inner-tube I went back to tyre fitter and got it fitted. He found the metal valve stem had become unbonded from tube and no other obvious problems. I don't know whether valve stem problem was cause or symptom, and was a bit nervous that the heat last week might be from a tyre fault, but just been for an hours test ride and things seem OK. Tyre tread nicely warm to touch, sidewalls about air temperature, and tyre pressure when I got back had risen by about 3 psi which seems right to me for warm tyres. I did get the bike cleaned too, and for about 10 minutes had a juvenile robin for a spectator
Fantastic looking bikes. I never thought I'd see a solid white motorcycle I like, but that one looks very nice.
I've posted something in the forum, hoping someone's got some ideas. Last time I contacted Triumph Tech Support about my old T100, I got short shrift. May just bite the bullet and pop along to J&S to see if they have a suitable tail pack for when i need to carry stuff.
Picked up a 2002 Thunderbird 900 yesterday. Now I can't get it registered and the title transferred until October because of the Covid lockdown.
