900 Thunderbird

    Hello all.
    I,ve got a 2003 900 Thunderbird. It was due an oil & filter change. Never done it myself before .Got the oil but after removal noticed I,d been given the wrong filter. So took filter to ensure I,d get the right one . Only to find I can't remember whether the spring fits under the filter or over. Can anyone shed any light

    Spring goes underneath the filter with a washer between them, and a washer above the filter.
