Had a nice 100 miler through the mountains of eastern Tennessee and western North Carolina. Dodged a bit of rain, and it was gorgeous day. Even did a short stretch of gravel road.

I lived there until very recently, fantastic ride up Swaledale towards Keld, then take off over the famous Butter tubs pass to Hawes ,then on to ribble head and beyond. One of the best rides in England, go during the week and you'll pretty much have the roads to yourself. I now reside in North Norfolk, very picturesque but a little too flat.

 

Those patches are awesome.

Similar experience following an ape-hanger for several blocks being assaulted by his incessant throttle blips at every opportunity. Undercut him on a cross traffic turn, as he angled wide (only possibility for that hog) into the curb side lane. I opened up Blue for a short burst of two gears and left him 1/4 mile behind. He finally roared past me as I was slowing for a turn, but the race was long over by then. "a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing"

 

All the seasons today for a 270mile ride. Quick stops to regroup and a short lunch with a viewing of a private collection of bikes and cars to wrap up half way.

After a quick wash took the old girl out for a decent test ride, all working beautifully no funny noises, nothing fell off, and stopped as well as before - mission accomplished

Went for a bit of an explore this morning, ended up around Rutland Water...

 

Eventually fitted my Hagon 2810 shocks to my Bonnie after shearing a shock bolt last week! All done and ready to test.

 

Yes thanks J S - bet you miss it, a different beauty in Norfolk.......eternal skies and largely unspoilt.........apart from some of the urban areas I have not been to an area of the UK where it doesn't have it's own attractions. I'll definitely come up for a rumble on the bike in Reeth though. It's just so picturesque and clean.

 

Rode to Donnington to meet two car driving friends and watched a full program of bike racing, picnic lunch in the car park and racing finished about 5.30. Just the odd spot of rain today not like Saturday when the paddock was flooded apparently!

Thanks I declined in the end and took it to a Triumph dealership. I got the bike back last week after a 4 week wait.
It was a struggle to find a dealership to do the work as they are still all booked up.
