Recall work (sidestand spring) carried out on my Thruxton R by East London Triumph Romford today. They were very strict with regards to the procedures put in place because of Covid 19. Only one person at a time permitted at each department. Lots of sanitiser, disposable gloves. I was struck by how quiet it was. The service was good & the simple repair was carried out promptly & efficiently. I do however worry about this dealership & others being able to survive the recession that is ultimately looming. The Ducati dealer next door (Hi Side ) have gone. Receivership or relocation? I’m not sure. This nasty virus might result in some of us having to travel vast distances to have dealer work carried out. I bought oil, oil filter & drain plug seal whilst there. I’ll be doing my own service next week, so perhaps you could argue I’m contributing towards their potential downfall? A chap came in whilst I was there requesting advice on handing back a bike whilst on finance because he was now unemployed. Sad. How lucky I am being retired.
I’m ok thanks. Bought a house in December & have been basically rebuilding the bloody thing from bottom to top. Almost done. So biking has pretty much been on the back burner. It’s a shame that so many of our core forum followers have decided to bail. I enjoyed reading all of their input. Looking forward to signing up to next years GMU if we have managed to put this Covid nightmare behind us
