    Hi All,
recently bought an original Triumph QS for my 2016/17 Sp3R.
Got around to fitting it this afternoon and seem to have run into a problem. When I turn on the bike in neutral all good, however as soon as I try and shift down into 1st (using the clutch) it instantly stalls, with a crunch. Same when I try and shift up into 2nd, again using the clutch.
With keys in the ignition it registers neutral but when I shift down (this is with the engine off), it doesn't change the display to 1st.

Any ideas what may be causing the issue?

probably stupid question, but you didn’t hit any wire around te gear lever that causes this right? :D If, for instance, the switch of side stand got disconnected, engine will stall as soon as you select first or second. Although this has nothing to do with gear display. So... double check all wires is the best I can advise you to do.

If you didn’t set the distance correctly on the gear shift the clutch is not engaging correctly
