Hi all, I am looking for some advice regarding comms systems. I want one that will talk to other bikes, have good phone and radio reception and long battery life. I have heard that Scala Riders are good however when I read reviews especially for the G9X it is quite mixed. Can anyone recommend anything? Thanks
I bought the scala q3 I'm very impressed with rider to pillion Bluetooth to phone for music and calls, haven't used it between riders yet. Dead easy to set up and operate. Shop around, I got mine for £200, I actually got worried I'd only ordered one unit. People are asking from that to over £300!
I have the Interphone F4MC and does what Crispers scala q3 does plus talks to my garmin satnav. haven't tried the bike to bike mode yet but everything else is fine. Amazon do them for around £101 and the FM5C for around £125. Inter phone are comparable with other makes as well. happy shopping!
There's a web site called WebBikeWorld that carries reviews on just about everything - bought my Sena SMH05 (fm) after r ading and comparing the reviews on there. The '05 is advertised as being compatible with other makes but so far I've only tried it with its twin (I bought a pair) I have tried it bike to bike now and found it very effective - definitely good for a few hundred yards. Very happy with it - does everything I need, it's bigger brothers in the Sena range do more but most of it stuff I'm unlikely to use - and I have to get the instructions out for this one after not using it for a while so don't want anything more complicated than necessary! Pretty sure there should be a post of mine here somewhere about it - about a year ago?

Just bought a Sena smh10 but due to the crap weather I haven't had a chance to use it yet,other that the wife phoning me while I was in the garage. But it was easy to fit and looks reasonably easy to use.
Trouble is there's loads out there and mostly they all do a good job, so it's a minefield but comes down to personal choice methinks
Interphone F5, you can pair up to six riders. Mrs and I use it bike to bike, listen to sat nav, music, radio. Up to 1/2 mile between riders via bluetooth battery last a full riding day. Had ours 3 years no issues.

Hi... I have the Scala q3, did the Pyranee`s last year with a good mate on his STR who also had a matching q3. All in all pretty good, FM radio is all but useless, but the actual bike to bike was very good indeed, up to about 500 yds (comfortably) distance communication, sometimes more, but out of line of sight, they lose each other fairly quickly over 250 yds, only occasionally all holiday did they disconnect from each other, but we were impressed with them. Used them probably 6 hours a day then charged them up overnight. Incoming calls were also good up to about 60mph, but that be my crappy shark helmet not being the quietest around....But personally, very good.
