I do love a man who values and appreciates data and accuracy, MrTriple. :) Good of you to go back and check. That nose can retract back now that you've 'fessed up. ;):kissing:

Well, whether it's a bad (or good) time to buy or sell a motorcycle, it seems it may not be the best time to order parts. I learned yesterday that one of the main mods (a torque cam kit) I've planned for my bike is on backorder until June 29th and I suspect that since the H-D factories are closed down, June 29th is probably optimistic as opposed to realistic. :(

It's very economical (around 55mpg during running in) but it has a small 14.5 litre tank. That gives a range of about 135 miles before the fuel light comes on, with another 30 miles or so left in reserve.

There's electric and computerised everything...a lovely TFT display, but no fuel gauge, which despite feeling like a bit of a concern these days, hasn't turned out to be a problem.

It's a strange cross between my Speed RS and Scrambler 1200 - a go everywhere kind of bike that's way more at home on the narrow and twisty Essex lanes.

Don’t want to swear to the group but I have to get my confession out of the way. Getting a GS as a second bike but trying to get a deal at the moment is bloody tough! BMW deals came to an end on 1st July and they have no new deals on offer. They actually have enhanced trade in offers as they are so short of stock on 2nd hand gear. Not ready to trade in my Rocket just yet!!

Demand is high and supply (or so we're told) is challenging. There was nothing to be had on that Ducati, except for 10% off the exceedingly expensive parts. The first oil service was £220...that's not good value at all

My Scrambler on the other hand, was supplied from the factory within three weeks, attracted a £750 Triumph 'register in June' discount, a £100 Triumph clothing voucher (I bought a pair of those monochrome union flag gloves and a fan-boy T shirt) and 10% off my chosen bike accessories. Not bad at all  ;)

Was at an independent dealer, KTM, Ducati, Triumph and BMW dealer on Saturday and they are all moving stock and having trouble getting stock, including new bikes. The independent dealer in Chelmsford wanted my R!

Wait till he runs it in and starts pushing it, that range will drop buy at least 25%.
