Had a little bimble out after replacing the water pump seals and new coolant on the Transalp, the junction is near Grantown of Spey, Nairn and Forres.
I remember way back when that bike first came out, "Cycle World" mag referred to it as the "Transpal". I thought it was hilarious and don't know why. That's a fine specimen you've got there, Don the Don.
Bar risers now fitted to the Ditch-pump, big difference, along with rear hugger (another Ebay bargain) and tank pads. Oh and the SW Motech rail for the yet to arrive waxed pannier bag.
Nice bit of kit that Rocker, does it have a dry or wet clutch. We Dukey owners like a rattle you know !!!
Are you still impressed with the Royal Enfield? What would you say are it’s best and worst quality’s so far?.
Does the front brake squeak mate and is the gear lever linkage still attached! If the answers are no and yes then it's doing better than your Speed Twin
Really enjoying it, but still running in so difficult to provide a completely balanced review. The bike is booked in for its first service on 18th July. Only using about 50% of the bikes capability, so once I have completed the running in I will post a full review
I had a transalp 700 as a second bike a few years ago and i bought a main stand for it from a company called heavy duties in Romania, there worth a look as they make some cracking gear with great service.
Had a surprise from Royal Enfield today. Picked up an introduction pack from the Potteries Motorcycles. Included a mug, key ring, lapel badge and a neck warmer. . Didn’t get that from Triumph....
