One of my previous boxers, Gracie, who graced my life from when she was 8 weeks old until her death at just shy of 12 years. Yes, dogs are the ultimate in positive awesomeness. I rest my case. These photos were taken only a couple of months before we said our goodbyes. xoxo
I managed to snap these photos of a hummingbird feeding on a century plant while I was out walking yesterday morning. It was on the blossoms of what is called a "Century Plant" because they purportedly only bloom once a century. There are tons of these plants in southern Arizona. I included an image (not mine) of a century plant so you can see what it looks like. They are very tall so I was taking these photos looking nearly straight up from the base of the plant. Fortunately I didn't scare away the hummer.
