Picked up my new Speed Twin last night. Have ridden lots of other bikes over the years, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Honda and a couple of Ducati monsters - but this is my first Triumph. I must say on the ride home it really felt fantastic - comfortable, handles like a dream and with loads of torquey grunt when you twist the throttle. I think it looks the business too . I've totally bought into the whole retro vibe. Having said that - I'm already thinking about a couple of mods. First up some nice fruity cans. I know the Vance & Hines cans look good and sound nice and are the ones offered by Triumph - but they are fairly pricey. Are they worth it? Has anyone tried any of the cheaper alternatives available on ebay? I quite like the look (and the price!) of the 'shorty pro' exhausts currently on ebay - but don't want to waste my money if they're no good. Anyway, hello to you all - glad to be joining the Triumph clan . Pat
Patinthehat Welcome to the family. Exhausts are hard to choose from these days so many about. I my self am waiting for a set from Dunstall. They look exactly like the old Norton reverse cone mega's but they are now wailing for the brackets to arrive so Friday they have promised me for delivery. Do let us know what you decide on. Regards & Ride Safe Joe
