I rode the scrambler up to hart side cafe today a 240 mile round trip, the cafes still missing but apparently it’s getting rebuilt next year,I rode up the dales which were very quiet but on my way home there were a few more bikes about, the pics are from the view point at hart side cafe and the river pic is were I sat for my dinner in the dales.

I met up with @andypandy today in Macclesfield Superbike Factory. Had a wander around the many bikes before heading over the cat and fiddle. The bar/cafe was closed and only a few bikers about. Then rode down through Buxton and into the Derbyshire Dales. Sorry no pictures today cause I couldn't be arsed to get me phone out.....

I've just been out on my missus street triple and I'm now wondering..... this thing can't be standard, my missus says it's terrifying, I did do a remap using tuneecu but from memory it didn't go like it did today, it's fast, I can remember riding the 2019 strs and thought it wasn't worth getting rid of ours, I know why now.

I serviced my mates dark r a couple of weeks ago and when I test rode it, it felt slow.

So if anyone owns an early street triple And lives in the county Durham area could we meet up and let me take a look at yours, Its got me wondering.

When I was out on the bike on Saturday it was a hot day and to be hohnest I felt a bit warm in the full face lid, gortex fabric trousers and jacket. So I was thinking about a mesh jacket, but remembered I had a Rukka Air jacket in the cupboard so had to go out today with the open face lid, Rukka Air and jeans. Ah lovely... Now can't decide if I need a mesh jacket....
With the open lid the 1200 engine sounds like a bag of nails though. This is normal, I even asked the dealer to check it when new as I'd had the 900 triples for the previous 10 years and they were never this agricultural.
    Some pics from the ride

Had no key holder. I drawn and printed a soft plastic key holder with the 2005 logo. A bit raw, but i like it.

Just been out to the SS and fitted a Triumph long haul screen. Not entirely sure why, other than it keeps a bit of rain off of my accessory clock.

Talking of which, I also replaced the clock that has been losing a lot of time. I've put on a spare mismatched one (same manufacturer/style but silver rather than black) to find out if it is a general problem of the clock not coping with the vibration at about 2,500 rpm or if it was just that one example. If it's just that one, I'll fit a nearly matching black one

I get that message a lot and end up going here and reduce it by 25%

    https://picresize.com/

I think the newer phones have a higher resolution photo which is too big for this site (guessing!)
