I think the dealers will play the “lack of stock due to no recent manufacturing” card to try and keep the prices up. It depends also on what the manufacturers have done with the targets and payment terms to the dealers. I’m sure they have been adjusted so the dealers may not be under too much pressure.
I have been keeping an eye out on bikes during the lock down and can’t say I have seen an abundance of private sellers keen to offload their expensive toys.
This of coarse all may change as things become tighter.
Personally I will put off my purchase until winter for a better deal as I haven’t been able to get the miles out on the Rocket that I anticipated.

To get any deals you have to be prepared to haggle or walk away when the deal doesn't suit you.
    Regards
    Joe.

I've taken out a number of PCPs on my car, bikes etc to take advantage of any discounts.
Last ones were £1000+ savings for the car, @£700 on the last bike.
Then I cancel them within the cooling off period and still keep the discounted cost ;)

Oh and I also buy my bikes in December when the dealer is trying to boost year end targets.

Only downside to buying in December just gone is that the bike is still in the garage after 5 months with 1.5 miles on the clock and the dealer did those 1.5 miles!:sob:

I have one simple rule. If I think it's not cheap enough I walk away.

Yep a good policy. The interesting thing though is that everybody's cheap is very different...

    Very true mate!
At the end of the day if you've decided on a certain bike and it's the one you really want, just buy the feckin thing! Life's too short! :D:D

The Golden Rule is to discover that what you ‘wanted’ has, in fact, become an urgent ‘need’.

I especially like how I can start looking at my budget of £8k and then work my reasoning all the way up to £15k :joy:

i think the biggest losers in this will be the guys or galls that bought on pcp and lost their jobs can only really sell the bike back to the dealer with a sorry sir/madam the market has crashed and your bike is only worth 50% of the outstanding finance
