Morning all new to the forum running an STR '13 plate for last 3 years. Having paid a dealer to service when bought i realise they are hugely expensive and also messed up my engine MAP with their latest update which required several throttle adaptions to resolve. As such am now servicing myself, really need to find someone who might be able to help me turn off the little spanner on my dash.

    Thanks in advance

Morning, James. Asked the very same question about a week ago. See my thread in the Bonneville Classic section. It's easy to do, and it can be as expensive or not, as you see fit. My choice cost $79 U.S. for the interface and TuneEcu App.

An android phone and quality Bluetooth dongle will allow you to reset the spanner and do so much more.

Welcome. I found an OBD lead with free ECU Tune, for about £15 on eBay. I've since ordered a bluetooth unit for similar money and found a free App. If you definitely don't want to do either, you could, when they re-open, contact your local FE College, where you may find and automotive instructor willing to help in exchange for using the check as tuition example. Just an idea.
    Enjoy the Forum.
