Hello. I've developed the hots for the Speed Twin 1200. So I thought I'll join a few forums to assist with my due diligence while waiting for the right example to turn up on the used market. I've owned a KTM 950SM (black, last of the carbie model) for 10 years. Zero commuting, all open road galloping through the vast countryside. I love the KTM and I've never even looked at another bike until the Speed Twin came along. But can a Brit and an Austrian get along? (Don't mention ze war!) Anyway, you probably won't hear much from me until I make my purchase but I'll be around, gleaning the info. Btw, I'm not an Aussie so don't waste your time with kangaroo shagging jokes. Regards, Son of Spam.
Hi mate and welcome Nice intro I had a Speed Twin on demo for a few hours and thought it was brilliant
Good morning and welcome aboard. I know how you feel about changing bikes. I, too, prefer to buy mike bikes from the used ranks, and it usually takes a couple of years for them to start showing up on the market. If this makes me cheap, whatever, but it has the added benefit of buying any bike in it's first year model. Most of the bugs should be ironed out in a few years! Just my take on that.
Son Of Spam. Welcome to the family. Just because you have not got a speed twin is a poor excuse not to come and talk to us here in the asylum we inmates like to talk bike and even more like pictures of bikes babes and beer. So do hit the upload a file button bottom right corner and show us all one of those three. Regards & Ride Safe. Joe.
