Donna made me spotted dick, so simple , 4oz self raising flour 2oz shredded suet 1 oz sugar Cup full of raisins Place in a bowl, and mix together Then in a separate bowl mix an egg and 9 table spoons of milk together . Then pour into the dry ingredients and mix together. Pour into a greased pudding basin And stick in the microwave for about four minutes until risen and spongy. Quick and simple , lovely with custard You can leave out the raisins and in to he greased pudding bowl put jam or golden syrup before pouring the mix on top. Lovely !!

A simple donut recipe I have tried recently: 3 cups of self raising flour 1.5 cups of Greek yoghurt Make a well in the flour and mix/need Cut/Roll in small balls and fry Roll in caster sugar (cinnamon optional) when warm (not hot) Nice with jam centre
Made some cheese puffs yesterday, very nice and simple. Basic recipe 1 cup Flour 2 tsp baking powder 2 cups of grated cheese (cheddar?) Add 1 cup of milk whisked with an egg and mix gently. Use any spices, I used garlic, Tuscan seasoning and salt/pepper. Curry or Paprika would be good (1/2tsp) Dollip spoonfulls on greased tray and bake for 10-15min (till golden) in preheated oven 200c/390f.
