TC I’m so sorry to hear this awful news. My condolences to you and your family I understand how awful it is when a loved one passes and you are not able to be there.
@tcbandituk ........ this is just heartbreaking news. I sincerely hope that you get the chance to say farewell in a way that brings some slight relief from the pain. Sincere condolences.
Sorry to read this. Makes feeling grumpy about my situation and fed up about my bike being stuck in the shed seem a little bit silly. Time to reflect, and maybe grow up a little.
Amongst all this sad news the coronavirus has brought us, some good news. My partners mum who is 83 tested positive for Covid 19 and was taken to hospital last week, was allowed home today. she's now self isolating for the next 2 weeks. Luckily she only got a mild dose. at her age we obviously feared the worst. so tonight we celebrate by getting drunk again ......... any excuse.
My friend's interview on the morality of social distancing that I shared recently in this thread was in Tucson's Sunday newspaper last weekend.
My NHS volunteer application was finally sorted yesterday. Put myself as "on duty" for 5 hours yesterday, not a job came through so still no ride. Same so far this morning.
My sons partners sister volunteered and made herself available today between 10 and 4. Nine calls on her phone and her comment was 'I'm not answering that,I don't know who it is!' WTF
Just rode my america into work for a debrief earlier and was stopped by plod but allowed to continue. Damn I've missed it.
