I noticed the chain on my new bike is more on the tighter tension setting (less than normally 1.25” play) I did ask the dealer where I bought the bike from they said it’ll stretch as I’m riding it more later during the break in period. My rider friend on the other hand whose more mechanically inclined is telling me it need to be adjusted to avoid possible unwanted bearing related issues in long term. So I’m just curious if anyone in this community with the same bike or similar kind have had the same situation. Thanks in advance for your attention n Cheers

Yes, a chain should be correctly adjusted ! Better a little loose than too tight as when the suspension compresses the chain should NOT be stretched betwen the sprockets causing overloading.
