My exciting day consisted of:- Refilling my cats stuffed mice with catnip. Bloody hell I need danger money for that task. Stan, my adorable tear away goes crazy for this stuff. He can even smell it in a plastic pot with the lid fastened. He stuck his claws in my fingers trying to release the pot of catnip from my grasp. The catnip is called “Cosmic Catnip” so I suppose I shouldn’t have expected anything else. Anyway Stan has had his fix and has settled down. Checked the voltage on my camper-van battery. It was down (damn you Covid 19). The battery on the Fiat Ducatos is under a panel on the floor luckily the boffins at Fiat designed it so you can charge from under the bonnet so you don’t need to remove carpet and said panel to access the battery terminals. It might take a while to bring the voltage back up because I’m only using my Optimate. Luckily the accommodation battery is being charged from the solar panel.
I actually I think I need another voltage controller which will share the power obtained from the solar panel to the cab battery. It looks like only the accomodation battery is getting the solar volts. But by the time we are allowed to go out in (6 months time ) the Optimate might have put something back in the battery. If it’s not back up to full charge in a week or so time I’ll consider a more beefy charger. I’d take the van out if it wasn’t for the fact people might think I was going on my holidays
Always good to see a family pic, my dad was in the desert and Italy where he was MID for carrying a wounded comrade to safety under enemy fire
Just gave eBay another smack.... Bought this..... With the intention of making a model of Grandad... Might keep me out of mischief. Maybe.
Just a thought... Do you have the mains hook up? If so, put the optimate to your starter battery and use the zig unit charger to top up the leisure battery? Edit, ignore me, that's what you're doing! Have to admit, I put the starter battery on ours on the optimate every time we get home, as its used 2 or sometimes three times a week, and I don't like flat betteries!
yes it is. Over 200k, extensive history but still on original engine and box. Nice and quiet and solid. Fitted new full stainless Miltek system as original manifold was cracked and exhaust was rotten. Also had a new headlining and drivers seat bolster repair.
I’ve been indulging my interest in medieval arms and armour The medieval war hammer was used quite extensively in the 16th Century by both mounted and foot soldiers to bludgeon the armoured opposition to death, the beak (pointy bit) was used to hook horses, trailing leads, or earlier in shield walls to pull shields out the way I’ve also been thinking about how to prepare for the upcoming zombie apocalypse
I've been decorating the bedroom. Today after all the prep, I've painted the ceiling, there's as much paint on me as the ceiling, and who invented them stupid rollers that fall off the end while full of paint. What a fecking nightmare. The lady of the house can do the ceiling next time. ...... some hope.
