Worked on getting the panniers and tent roll packing sorted. I wanted to do a shakedown run so packed it all up with what I’d be taking on a full weekend trip. I had to buy some new straps to tie everything down to suit me. Weather was cold at 4c but sunny, so I put in a good couple hours riding. Everything stayed put, and after a few minutes on the road I barely noticed any change in handling. Last thing to sort before the riding season is in full swing is a new front tire. Think I need one?

First sunny, dry day for a while meant I managed to get the bike out of the garage to have a better look at the Sato rear sets and Corbin seat fitted over the winter. Rear sets look good but not quite so sure about the seat though as looks a bit too long.
Quick spin round the block and all worked ok.

You have to get up early in the morning to catch me out..
The folding footpegs for my rear sets came from China so, after taking on board expert social media advice, I have taken action and am now fully protected.
And as I ride around I can make a bit of money as well, selling at £1 a sheet. BARGAIN :mask:

Finally cleaned up the rear rack I got off ebay, primed it the other day, and have given it three coats of satin black. Simoniz best rattle can (couldn't be arsed setting the spray gun up.)

    Photo when it's fitted.

Got a shorter screen to fit as well, hoping for less wind noise.

No, not fitted, it started howfing it down. So used the heat from the engine running to dry the paint off. Couple more coats tomorrow all being well.

Wish I took a photo of it before really, it's a full 100% better. It didn't want to split into component parts, so some awkward bits still had the original coating on, that's reacted a bit with the paint, gone a bit orange peel, but it's underneath so won't be seen. Pretty happy with the result so far I think.
