Talking bonfires! And Rallies! Someone suggested the reason the Dragons are alway in less than prestige places, is because, in the past, at different venues, anything that will burn (Within half mile radius of site) gets processed into kindling over the duration of the Rally. Hence land owners reluctance to rent out ‘Nice’ places.
That could well be true Kenbro, It's that cold and damp, everybody gets a fire going. till the rain puts them out.
Bogg Great jacket there you got more badges than I have. Take it you were a Norton rider. Regards Joe.
Need to get on some rides and collect some buttons. Only got one patch now that I made from a points cover and a pocket from a pair of jeans I couldnt fit anymore.
Hi bogg, Looks like it’s only that mass of badges that’s holding that bit of cloth together. Bet that has seen some sights and places. Very nice. Ken. PS. Hope this don’t upset ya, but, that Norton badge in gold with the wings would be ideal for some Honda riders, assuming it didn’t say Norton on top.
Very informative Privateer. I went to the Ace café on the A1 once in 1976 when I had a short spell working as a despatch rider. the place was manic, but some lovely old bikes were there, and even an old Ford Zepher. It was really interesting to hear how it all started. Cheers mate I love hearing about the history of places, and how they came about.
GaryM thanks no the better half does most buys me bits and pays for most of my bikes or helps to but she always said I wanted them I sow them. Dilligaf. So di I used to wake up some weird places when we travelled in the dark. Regards Joe.
