My thoughts are with you “I’m sorry you’re going through this.” a positive mental attitude is a powerful thing, but tough to maintain throughout your journey. Know your virtual friends here will be hoping/praying and thinking of you and your family.

I will say i am not a prone to panic person and tend to take things in my stride and just deal with things ...i guess you would call me a fatalist/realist and although i have had plenty of time to deal with things as i was first diagnosed with prostate cancer in April 2018 and had the focal therapy which i thought had got rid of it in November 2018 ...the scan of November 2019 reveled the "not happy" result and now i have discovered that's there is more than one sight its made me a little more worried as so far apart from the the first and second biopsy i have had little or no bad effects which i should be grateful for but as i am IMO reasonably heathy and fit (cough) i have trouble excepting that further more radical treatment could be coming my way and that part scares me more than the "cancer" as the results although pretty much guaranteed to get rid of could leave me with feeling and living the old man syndrome...and if you knew me its not in my repertoire.

Heaving said all that i am well aware that there are many far worse off than myself and i really shouldn't complain.....but a good old moan sometimes helps.;)

We are all thinking of you and wishing you well, and hoping this has been something about nothing. It's hard going through the process (I haven't, but I've walked to hell and back with my wife - fortunately she made the journey back too), and supportive friends and family are a great help.

As others have said, keep upbeat as much as possible.

Edit: Just seen your latest update - a good moan works for me - so moan away as much as you like, we're listening.

Just wondered if you fancied a spin on the chop. Like you said you are a tough nut and old man syndrome my foot. If I get you acting like that I'm coming to take that chop of you. Hell we haven't even met yet and it will happen. I am working on the old retirement fix and I want to meet as many of you nutters as I can. But from my heart just carry on being Tricky-Dicky and know that every nutter on here is with you all the way.
    Regards & God Bless
    Joe.

LOL! thanks Joe....taking the chop out in this weather....winter around these parts usually results in all the minor roads covered in mud from the beet harvest....and besides i might have a younger mindset and keep active but after 10minutes in the wind at 2c i will likely not be able to put my feet down with my knees...wait until spring i think....i have loads to do in the garden so as soon as i am feeling a bit less sore i will get on besides the misses has banned me from doing anything strenuous for the next couple of days (cough) and I'm not risking her wrath.;)

Gel with you on that one we never upset the good ladies. Well not if you want your dinner on a plate. You will get there and remember summer is coming. And that real Triumph will wait for you patiently.

The trouble with cancer, apart from the bleedin' obvious, is that whilst you may get the 'all clear' physically, mentally - if SWMBO is a typical example - it is a whole new ball game. It never leaves you! It just messes with your head.
Tricky Dicky, you have my heartfelt best wishes. As does anyone else with, or who is close to someone they love with, that bastard disease that we call cancer!

Same here TD, wish you all the luck you need! hope the biopsy pain has died back and that they’re discussed all the treatment options with you...

Edit... was it premonition that made you choose your avatar or had you had your first investigation? (Aliens are renowned for anal probing and he has a digit in the ready position)

Just got off the phone with the surgeon that did my biopsy and the verdict is better than i thought in that i still have a small area of cancer in the same place that it was originally but the other sites where clear.....so i can go back for further focal therapy and hopefully get rid for good...but if not its surgery or radio......just have to hope everything still works as it should after the next therapy as there are risks.:(
