Newcastle triumph have been told, all orders of the black R should/will be at the dealer by the end of January so the customer should have them early February.

    A friend sent me this.

So took the new rocket for a test ride today! It is a beast.. but so is my 2009! Feels like a big bobber/speedmaster.. which is good as love those, but i feel too big on them.
    Would i get one...100%
Would i trade it for mine.. no!
Reason. I love mine for size and touring two up.. but would have the new one as a big comfy sports bike.. as that's how it felt!

That is exactly what I am struggling with, the original feels bigger and more imposing. That's not to say that I don't like the nerve R3R

They are already modifying over in America, rear plate mount is replaced with a tail tidy etc.

If you are on Facebook Stolly, have a look at Triumph Rocket 3 pilots world wide owners page, there's loads of information about the new R3, and the older versions.

I have to give the new one a couple of pluses - the brakes are superb, traction control is beneficial in wet and the weight. But would I part with my X - jury out on that one.
