Hello I’ve recently bought a 1995 speed triple to lightly restore. It was in a part stripped state and I’m trying to put the front end back together. Could anyone tell me if the fork sleeves that hold the head light brackets have bushes of some sort or am I missing another part. So far from the bottom yoke I have the head light bracket sleeves as said and then the clip on handle bars and then the top yoke. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks from Paul

Hi Paul, and welcome in :cool:
Put your question in the Builds & Projects section mate, you'll probably get more answers to your question as not everyone will read the Newbie section ;);)

Welcome to the family. Do hit the upload a file button right corner and show the inmates the steeds. Here in the asylum we like pictures keeps us quite while nursey medicates us.

Hi Paul. Welcome to the forum - you've found the right place to be for the very best in bollocks, banter and good old fashioned advice.

Ron is absolutely right about the rubber bushes on the headlamp and bars for your Mk.1 Speedy - uhmmmm ..... we need pictures to prove that you actually do have one, you know! No pictures, didn't happen - it's the law! I digress.

I got the parts, as pictured in Ron's second message, for mine and Ron's bikes by phone/mail order through Fowlers of Bristol - by far the easiest way when you're a self centred, single minded bitch like me who refuses to enter the portals of either BRIDGE or TOTAL TRIUMPH. I don't like being taken for a ride or for a fool and both have done that at least once, so, never again.

BTW, I'm in mid Devon - between Tivvy and Wellington - so, if you're in the area, feel free to call in for a chat and/or cuppa. Always happy to talk Triumphs and always happy to see more Mk 1 Speeds!

Hello again. I hope everyone had a good Christmas and are suitably stuffed! What’s everyone’s thought on exhaust end can for my above speed triple. I’ve got the originals which are a bit battered with rust inside! Do I drill the rivets out to remove the carbon ish effect outer coverings and try and restore them or fit something else?? Thanks in advance from Paul
