Hello, Does anyone have any advice on mirror vibration. I find when I get above 65 mph the rear view is distorted, which on a dual carriageway/motorway is difficult to judge speed and distance behind.
exactly the same for me too. For mine, it's only the left one and the right one is fine. I took out a loan speedy rs yesterday and lo and behold, it was the same!!
I think it's just a trait of the design. My 4 cylinder Honda was the same. You can't beat a proper look over the shoulder It used to be called a "lifesaver" and for good reason.
I don't recall having this issue on mine, is there any way of tightening the mirror? I would have thought it would affect both mirrors equally not just one?
Yeah, a few have actually been replaced on warranty it seems. I did mention it yesterday for the yearly service but I didn’t really get resolved. To be fair tho, it was hammering down with rain on the way home and the first time I have actually selected rain. It’s definitely saved a slide in Wellingborough. I can’t see a way of tightening them up though
Hello, I also have bad vibration on my 2019 RS and the dealer/shop told me i was @#%$ out of luck and Triumph doesnt even respond to my emails. (This customer service thing at triumph seems to be a whole other problem...). @Ducatitotriumph - How did you get warranty service?
Interesting. I have heard it randomly so maybe it is something I can fix? Anyone try weighted bar-ends?
I'm only familiar with the mirrors on my 955i Tiger, but some years ago I got my friendly local engineering works to make me some extended mirror stems with stainless steel. This is a much stiffer material than the standard painted mild steel ones and all vibration stopped immediately even though I'd had them made 2" longer than standard to clear my shoulder width.
Ok cool, Ill also look at after market such as lane-splitter etc. Was just hoping Triumph would accept this and provide the support.
