Next time you go down that way try The Steel Horse Cafe instead of the Bus Station, coffee and food is way better and nicer atmosphere IMO :cool:

Abergavenny bus station eh? I once parked up there for the night in my wagon - probably early 90s as I was driving an artic tipper lorry at the time. I wonder if it still doubles up as an overnight lorry park these days. Hmmmmm .....

Hi Curly, I’m his cousin and I’ve rode it, I also had an A2 Bonneville before my Tiger. The Thruxton 900 I have to say does not compare even a little to the Bonneville 865. To my surprise it is by far a better bike all round, it feels lighter, corners better and more responsive than mine or his Bonneville’s. I thought it may be uncomfortable but again surprised. My Tiger is new and on that ride it was just a couple of weeks old but I was just as happy to ride that than mine? He will reply with his thoughts shortly I’m sure, if not I’ll text him.

    Many thanks Andy K2,
I have the germ of an idea for the new year is why I'm asking.
I love my essentially standard Newchurch, but do wonder.......

    Hi Curly
I absolutely love it after rising the bars up one inch, riding position is not all bad the bike sits slightly higher than the Bonny did.

    Rudeboy,

Next time you got a trip I'm always up for a blast, and indeed a bacon roll and tea.

It is a fast bike if you want it to be, but much better ridden under 80mph as it has no screen or fairing, it has plenty of power that isn't usually used, anything over 120 then it get difficult to hold on…. and thats on a fine summer day…..
