I find that my modified Street Twin is the ideal bike for me, apart from one thing, it’s 25KG too heavy.
Called my dealer today. They refused to do the recall work unless I left the bike with them for two days. Their first excuse was that triumph would not even send the parts unless they had the bike on the premises. Later they slipped up and admitted the owner was tired of doing recall work with the potential for him to eat the cost of the parts if I didn’t show up after he ordered the parts. They essentially wanted to hold my bike hostage. Mind you, this is the same dealer that nearly killed me not tightening an oil filter completely, resulting in an oil slick on the bottom of the bike. We’ve already had words and I will NEVER set foot there again. Bad thing is the next dealer is two hours away, but they have already offered to have the parts in hand and repair it as soon as I pull into their lot. I wish I could speak to a Triumph rep as I am so over this dealer.
Hi guys. I have read this topic and apparently my position where the clutch cable squeezes the wiring harness is different. I'll put two photos. In the first photo, you can see that the wiring harness is more up like many of you said it should be. But then I looked some more and found another position (2nd photo) where you can see that a smaller wiring harness that goes into the display is squeezed by the clutch cable and you can even see small green cable in the wiring harness. Just to tell my problem: today my display wasn't responding, no direction lights were working and the display continued to work even with the key in my pocket. Yes, funny but also a big problem. I had to disconnect the battery to turn it off. EDIT: I just remembered that the sound you hear when turning the handlebar to the right probably comes from the wires that are directly connected to the headlight. I'm pretty sure about this because a have held my hand on the headlight and could feel the vibration from the cables being stretched or squeezed.
