Just had my renewal subscription come through from Total AV, was a bit surprised to see this was gonna be nearly £60 after my loyally bonus of 50% reduction  .... really!
Just told them to cancel, what are you guys using, what does it cost & most importantly does it work? :worried:

On a Mac so not bothered, the one time I needed something I used the free Malwarebytes trial which worked a treat :cool:

I use Bullguard Premium, but I never carry over the subscription, it's a lot cheaper to start a afresh every year if you buy it from Amazon, I save around £40 each year.

I had Bullguard last time, I think they all give you a decent price first time then try & sting you in year 2.

Good call that mate, I am with Virgin, just did a bit of research & they have a basic free one or something called F-Secure SAFE which is free for 12 months, so might just do that.

Thanks to all that have come back with advise, gotta love this forum! :p

We use Bitdefender which we had installed at our local computer repair shop for 20 odd squids. Should have cost more than that apparently but he's a 'one man band' who is happy to make a profit without ripping people off.:)

I used to use Bit defender but since getting a new computer earlier this year I didn't bother
I use the installed Windows defender
I use a lot of emails and internet cruising plus online gaming
I've never had any bother, it's not in your face and my computer is perfectly healthy

Best of all, it doesn't cost a penny
