Just did a track day at RAF Odiham and the 600 is a brilliant bike! Amazing handling! Its Superb! I got 162mph out of according to the speed police, the bike never fails me! I went with Jason Dowle (Knee down Instructor) the company OMCC have a look on their website, the next track day is on the 27th or the 28th But the track is not technical but at least it's better than nothing
Just bought my D600, got a novice track day booked at oulton park in feb. Can't wait but not sure if it's got the straights to top end it. Done 143 on and empty motorway didn't expect it to still have so much left after that.
Hello MonkeyRyder, I have sold the D600 to get a RSVR, try make sure you get to the red line and change gear, you need to get everything out off the D600 to get the top speed! What does your D600 look like? As the guy I sold mine to, he sold it for £1550 which is ridiculously cheap! The D600 I had was a Valmoto replica TT bike. Lots of aftermarket parts done to it apart from exhaust!
I paid £1600 for this 2003 28k from Telford. I don't know enough about bikes yet to know about upgrades, couldn't even tell you what can its got attached? All a learning curve hay? But will take your advice about getting to the red! Love the flag on the front end! How are you finding the rsvr in comparison ?
I prefer the RSVR by miles! The V-Twin has more excitement! The Daytona 600 is a smooth comfortable bike. The V-Twin has so much torque into the rear wheel, I will use the Go pro on a track day so you can see the power! If I was you I would get a clear double bubble screen and stomp grips to the bike, helps you get more aerodynamic and stomp grips for cornering. The Best tyres for the bike is Michelins 2CTS or Metzelers RaceTec K3s. The Photo I have attached shows a real good lean on the tyres! This is the RSVR but going to get RSV4 fairing kit for the bike!
There's something about the rsvr that just screams excitement! I've got parelli on the back and Dunlop front, as bought. Are the 2CTS any good for commuting?
Just read up on stomp grips, sound advice although I don't see me getting in to lean like yours just yet - well not on purpose anyway lol I'm at Manchester bike show tomorrow so will keep an out for some
Anyway yes 2CTS are the best commuting tyres for all weather they heat up quickly, 120 front, and 180 rear is suitable for the bike! :biggrin:
