I just signed up for the Tucson, Arizona USA Distinguished Gentleman's Ride. I'm not particularly Distinguished nor am I a Gentleman. But I am a rider! I did this ride last year and was the high donations gatherer for our Tucson ride. But then, I was very highly motivated as my brother had been recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. This is a terrific event and I plan to participate and fund raise every year until either I'm not around or the event isn't. Good for all of you who are also participating. :)

    That's a great idea.
I tend to use ACF50 once a year almost everywhere...

    The 3 areas I don't touch are
    Tyres (obviously!)
    Brakes (obviously!)
And the exhaust headers - while the exhaust will burn off any excess oil, it also heats up the metal quicker and within seconds were glowing red brighter than my tail light - never again

OK, still some hours to go.
Wish you all a great DGR 2019!
I will be with my Bonnie on the Barcelona ride with some other hundreds. If you want to find me I will be the guy with loud pipes.

    Have a great day!

Have a great DGR, all those of you doing the ride tomorrow! I wish you all good, or at least reasonable, weather. The forecast for our Tucson Arizona ride is sunny and 75ºF at the start and 85ºF at the finishing point. Which is a lovely local brewery, BTW, called Barrio Brewery. :) Last year we had 100 riders and this year there are 160 signed up. Last year we raised about $10,000 and this year we're at right around $25,000. :grinning: I'll try to get a couple of photos from the ride posted on this thread if it's not raining. Oh wait, it won't be. We desert dwellers can be a little smug once our temps drop from 110ºF back down to less than hellacious! :joy::joy:

Hey @capt here , went online to research and find out where the local DGR ride is taking place ! They are keeping it secret !! You have to "Register" to sign in !! We'll Fuck that !! They are going to miss out on a lot of drop ins who would probably raise/donate more money than the twats who registered !!
I do the Christmas's charity rides most years , they keep nothing secret , they get close to 1,000 riders in Perth , Bunbury ride top's 400 regularly, Geraldton has had years where 350 plus take part ! What's with registering before you can find out where when and how it goes ????
I guess I'll go for a ride on my own and look after my own prostate ... LoL !

About to set off for the Salisbury ride - not actually raining for the moment but still forecast for later.
Good luck to all the other "twats".

Hey @capt , it's free to register and the whole thing is an Australian invention! :joy:

I'm register on forum's where and when I can see a benefit. There is no benefit in registration if you only want one or two details , I don't care if it's free to register , it's time wasted and no one is any better off ! I would have considered attending if I knew where when and how !!

You probably wasted more time moaning about it than you would have by registering, but if the time taken moaning benefited you then I’m pleased for you
