morning! I’ve a street scrambler 2017 with less than 5000 miles on it. Love it but it seems the gear selector is knackered! Anyone else experienced this? I know it’s not uncommon on street twins

Morning Beaky and welcome to the forum. What exactly has gone wrong with the gears, perhaps a picture might help, unless it’s inside the gearbox

Thanks Yorkshire man! I can’t upload a picture as have had to leave the bike at a dealer. Pretty sure it’s inside the gearbox-the symptoms are very similar to those of my partners street twin which has now had two replacement selectors. Triumph seem to know it’s an issue but aren’t admitting it!

Hi everyone! Thanks for the welcome! It seems the dealer has replaced the gear selector now. I hope it doesn’t break again.....!

Hi wessa -I’m not sure exactly where the selector broke but I understand they’ve had to replace the complete selector. There’s definitely an issue but triumph aren’t admitting it! Good luck mate!
