Beautiful helmet, @Scottish_triumph! I'm a big fan of the Shoes NXR which goes by the model name RF-1200 outside the EU (or so I understand). I just returned from a 2,800 mile trip and was wearing my RF-1200. Other than a little top-o'-the-ear pinching (a consequence of my Sena speakers I believe), it was terrific! I purchased the transitions pinlock face shield prior to the trip so I could rely on one shield for many conditions. Loved it!! And I installed the pinlock prior to the trip, too, just in case of rain and temp changes. That worked like a champ too. Great helmet!! And I now also swear by the transition face shield too.
I had to replace my old Shoei. I really wanted the NXR after reading about them, but apparently there was too much gap at the back of my head. Hate how that happens with helmets. I now wonder if my old Shoei had the same fit problem but I didn't know.
