evening guys , just took my speedy for its first ( and last by me ! ) jet wash .
Now the engine management light is on . It's been a couple hours since the wash and just tried it again and it's still on .
Apart from not wanting to start straight away , it rode as normal , then halfway home the light came on . I haven't ridden it in the rain yet so have no idea of how well it starts if it's damp normally .
Is this going to be a trip to the dealers or is likely to be something simple ?
    Thanks in advance .

Try the 3 cold start to warm up routine, once you've done that take it for a ride and see if the eml clears.

Took her out for a ride after work . Light still on .
Disconnected the battery in the hope that that would reset it . Nope.
    Any other suggestions guys .

I think if it were me I would be downloading TuneECU (free download) and buying myself an OBD connecting cable, so I could 'talk' to the bike's ECU and see what fault is causing this light.

That wouldn't be the third time you took her out from cold would it? Glad it's sorted

    update.
took her for a ride after work and after 10 miles or so she died.
turns over but won't fire .
Not sure if its related or not. The light wasn't on prior to this .
Anyway , called the recovery and shes now at home . Will get her into the garage this week . Hopefully it'll be something no too costly!
