    Hello everyone,

After an 18 year hiatus, I am back on 2 wheels. I used to ride sport bikes back in my younger days. The Yamaha R6 was the last bike I owned. Fast forward 18 years, a wife and 2 kids later, I am back riding again. After some test rides, I decided on the 2019 Street Twin. I absolutely love it and cannot wait to truly get acquainted with it. I wanted to join as I have a lot to learn about these bikes. Thanks for having me and I look forward to interacting with you all.

Thank you all. BigCLM, your bike looks great. I’m planning on doing a few mods once the bike is paid off.

Welcome RO73, I have a ST as well, so I agree with your choice, my best advice is to junk the Pirelli tyres ASAP, it will transform the ride.

Blimey, another cousin across the pond with exquisite taste in metal steeds!

With a Triumph you won’t need a Harley D or a Big Johnson (reference to another thread This made me laugh)...

Have fun - I am sure u will.

Incidentally, if you haven’t ridden for a while there are some great videos on YouTube (apparently), some of which provide refresher advice on riding techniques, Lane positioning, etc...

In the UK there is the IAM (Institute of Advanced Motorists) and some instructors have done informative videos. I am sure there are some filmed by similar organisations that you may prefer to watch from the USA - so you done get too confused with why the motorists over here are all daredevils, riding on the left...
