Just come back to bike ownership after a break due to children and funds. I've always had sports bikes in the past and this time went with Triumph Speed Triple as my 40 year old body ain't what it used to be.

I've picked up a nice condition 2011 bike with only 9.5k miles on it. Love the look and sound of it

It runs nice and have taken it on a trip down to West Midlands from N.Yorks, I think my body need to get used to riding again as it was only 140 miles each way but my butt was aching for the last 30 or so miles of each journey.

    Thanks all

I've worked hard over the last few years and this is my treat to myself. The bike will get used as work transport every now and again as well as fun "just because" rides.

If you have time, I've also asked a question in the tech forum regarding jerky set off with low revs in first gear that I would like some advice on

    Cheers again

Welcome aboard Jimmies, hope you'll enjoy the forum, I have a 15 plate Speedy with the comfort gel seat fitted, makes it the most comfortable bike I've owned, they do crop up on eBay etc now and then, nice looking bike you have there, enjoy and stay safe as you get acquainted with each other.

Hi and welcome. I'm nearly 59 and ride a 2005 speed triple. Did an almost 1300 mile ( five days for me) trip in Scotland a month ago with some brilliant people from this forum.
No issues at all. Great bike. Just have fun with it!

Thanks for the great welcome, been busy on the house this weekend but will be using it during the week for work so I'm sure I'll get used to it soon enough.

It has a tail tidy but not an integrated tail light, so the rear indicators are bent up out the way of the Arrows. It looks pretty manky so I'll be looking to get an integrated tail light soon.....they are legal...right?

The integral tail lights aren’t legal in the UK, you need more space between the indicators, 140mm I think
