Did that sentence start with: “You see officer, I ‘might’ have been going a little fast because it’s”...

we get weather here in Kansas, temps varies from 47 to -25 C, wind gust last Saturday night was measured at 111 mph, 20 mph is a slight breeze, 30 mph is breezy, don't get windy until over 40 mph. When the tornado sirens go off all of the natives run outside to take a look. In my 60 years in Kansas, I have never actually seen one.

Is that because you’re the one hiding under a table?

Nope I'ma native out looking, used to set on tops of hills in the country with my dad when I was a kid, with a two way radio to call dispatch to crank up the town's tornado sirens if we seen one coming.

Count your blessings, phred. My dad nearly died when a tornado hit my home town in Minnesota some years ago. And literally half of the house that I grew up in blew away. The town (pop. 500 at the time) was about 1/3 destroyed. Hopefully you'll NEVER see see a tornado in person!

It’s a shame we don’t get any really strong tornados in the UK as there are a few towns here that would be appreciably improved by being hit by one (or three - to do a thorough job)...
