    Your so right Ron.

Jez and I only ate a Hobnob (a being singular =1) cos that Yorkshireman had gotten a steel like grip on the packet and there were no other Hobnobs available because Billy five bellies had eaten the supplies before we got there :joy:

You're out there giving it your best shot Bill and that in itself is admirable as I'm sure most would agree, I can only imagine what a huge learning curve it must be in a first season of racing with lot's of unknowns to come to terms with, keep plugging away mate, you're doing great :grinning:

Christine looks different Billy, she had her hair done?:p
Seriously tho, well done on the races at Pembrey, a couple of solid finishes, vest all done with, and that all important confidence coming back. I’m pleased to see the way you are analysing your performance in a realistic manner taking into account it’s your first season racing tarmac. Watching your videos it’s apparent you are at some disadvantage on the straights but not short of cajones when it comes to chucking it in at high speed on those long corners and getting held up in places not knowing which line the rider in front is going to take.
Best of luck for Anglesey in just over 3 weeks time.

Billy I’m not saying this in a funny way, but like myself sometimes smaller bikes don’t suit larger riders, again not in a nasty way:heart: perhaps a different class with a bit more helpful horsepower

Go pro bike 200hp works for everyone, little bit more purchase price but so much easier to be competitive,
You have racecraft already, you have good corner speed.
But you need something to brake late square the corner off and power out

Aah but traction control, slide control anti wheelie and launch control is standard on nearly all the big boys

But I have to say a 675 is an awesome bit of kit, my favourite bike I’ve owned :)

There’s also now a little cheat you can use.
    A fully tuned 765 in the 600 class should work a treat:cool:

    Motorsports are brilliant.

To all yous Just reading this thread, or my Mini thread, get out there and find something you can do. We are too old for normal sports and competing, but doesn't matter how old you are sat on or in something.

    Just do IT.

    Totally agree.
Been riding bikes since I was 17, but didn't start anything competitive until 14 years ago in 2005 at 43 years young.
Since then, I've done Trackdays, Flyers/Top Speed competition and drag racing at national level.
Gave up in 2014 and stuck to road bikes since.

However, since I'm now retired, I am off to pick up a new track bike hopefully tomorrow :D

That table don’t look bad at all Billy, you’re above halfway in the remaining seniors and a few more points would see you above Mr Marshall. Seriously well done fella, I’d be happy with that for my first season.
Sorry that the cold hard reality of funding another seasons racing is creeping into your thoughts, I’m sure now that you’ve experienced the tracks you’ve never seen before you would get better results and more confidence, you don’t lack cajones mate, I’ve seen you ride two tracks remember and I was impressed. We all think we’re fast riders and those of us that have done track days have some idea of what our bikes and us are capable of, actually RACING and trying to pass these quick guys as you say is a totally different ball game. Hats off to you Billy, hope to see you next year somewhere.

Keep at it for another season Billy, if funds allow.
As Yorkie says, your results for a novice in your first season have been impressive. A second season will let you consolidate what you have done this year and see some improvements as you build your confidence on the bike and learn the tracks.

And if you really fancy a change - come and have a play on the dragstrip!
