I knew someone would twist my meaning.
Ah ok. I've done that before, I'll try it again. Thanks.

Latest update on this saga of my chugging bonnie.
A bought the TTP stage 1 tune for my bike and installed it. The bike feels very good indeed, goes like a rocket but at 5500 to 6000rpm it chugs, management light comes on and speedo needle goes erratic.

    What to do next?

To add to the above in an effort to clarify what's happening. As I go accelerating up the gears, which it does beautifully, the bike should accelerate very smoothly right on to the redline and perhaps beyond but it seems to hit a wall at around 6000rpm.

Someone out there must have experienced something similar and if so what's the cure? I cant afford a fortune at the dealers.

If the rev counter is working correctly?
Then the only way I can think of getting to the root of your problem is by using a data logger. anything similar to the one below should work.
    https://www.gendan.co.uk/product_FXNT100.html
This records data and lets you read it back, so should tell you which part of bike systems is causing the problem.

I don't know if it could be the reason or not but it sounds strangely like the bike is hitting the rev limiter too early or maybe has some kind of "limp home" mode in the ECU-I know when I had a GSX1400 they could have a problem like that which was often caused by a faulty sidestand switch!

Yes it feels as if its hitting the rev limit but at 5500 - 6000rpm!

Having trawled through several threads on another forum I'm beginning to think it could be an electrical fault. I'm wondering if my alarm could be the problem?

Hurrah. Mystery solved! It was my plug n play alarm. It seems that the link cable between the bike and the alarm was the wrong length and acted as a radio or something. Very technical issue but simply solved. The guy who made the alarm and problem cable shortened said cable.
